Our servers have been professionally maintained since 2008 with frequent. The con is that people can create a working v15 server easily without needing to learn much, meaning that if they do want to upgrade the server to a newer version or something similar, there is a steeper learning curve, compared to someone who actually had to do research and create a v15 server on their own. They are not that company. That's why guides like mine sometimes get a lot of shit for "spoonfeeding" and not helping people actually learn, although I'm trying to appeal to people like my younger self: some kid who just loved the game as it was and didn't want to do anything serious with it, just have a personal server to mess around on with a few friends. It's not like if everyone in Flyff Universe gave Gala $5,000 dollars Gala would say "Alright, let's make Flyff 2, hire some graphics designers, get some more programmers in and give the players what they love.". Fighting against players complaining about p2w just gives Gala a shield to keep doing it. People thinking it's actually acceptable for the game to be this reduced in fun so Gala can make more money, even when it's at their own expense the more they defend greedy tactics. People telling players it's a p2p game so deal with it. There's barely anything to do at max level because it's that lacking in endgame content. They have absolutely no intention of overhauling the game's graphics. It's not acceptable for Gala, a multi-million dollar company, to release barebones v7 in a buggy mess like this and charge players like it's Flyff 2. I'm not okay with a lot of what they've done with the game and thinking it's acceptable. I'm just not okay with them releasing v7 of Flyff with only 2 or 3 decent changes (if you count "reworked" quests) and then making players pay all this money for it. If people want to play Flyff Universe because they enjoy the old days of when Flyff was booming with players, I want them to experience that again and enjoy it. If I myself can't find anyone to talk to in a Pserver I'll just leave very quickly. You're right, Pservers don't have a large community and it can feel demotivating if you can't find anyone to talk to, for sure. You're completely accurate with everything you just said. When people start quitting after they realise upgrading gear isn't very achievable, Flyffu will be exposed for being just like Flyff PC. The only reason you're playing Flyff Universe is because you were tricked into thinking the upgrade side of game was going to be f2p. If I get bored on a Pserver I can choose another job, get max level and get straight into upgrading gear to kill bosses with an entirely different playstyle.Īnd then there's all the events where you can get loads of community made high quality flyff cosmetics. All of this is f2p because the upgrade items are sold very cheap for penya by NPC's. You farm a boss to obtain the first gear set, upgrade it to kill the next boss to get a better set, continue until you've beat all bosses in the game. Actually, you can even just AOE for weeks and buy the best gear like that. The difference on a Pserver is that when you get to max level the game becomes about upgrading gear to beat bosses. What is there to do for progression at max level? Oh, and violet giants can drop weaker versions of protection scrolls which reduce your gear level if they are used up when failing to upgrade gear, this is to incentivise players to buy the ones from the item mall.Īnd here's another thing I've been concerned about. Guess what though? You can always buy protection scrolls from the item mall. You will travel to multiple violet spawns and not even find a giant because they're heavily farmed. The violet giants have a low drop rate, travelling to each one isn't fast. What do you think is gonna happen when everyone gets to the point they need to buy dice and protection scrolls? Just hoping to ignore that issue until you get there? Even though Flyff Universe is fun while it has loads of players short term, the reality is that people are going to quit as soon as they realise how poorly thought out gear progression is.
